I had a great experience at Blackbird! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was also very nice, with dim lighting and a chill vibe. Before a DJ took over and a dance floor was made. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Great little bar, tucked away from the troubles of the world. Professional mixologists serving creative and some seemingly unlikely cocktails, but very satisfying for the palate and the soul. Reasonably priced within the market, but offering a very sophisticated product and intimate (but COVID aware!) space with simple but effective decor and classy selection of music.

I'm a regular at the Thursday karaoke nights, always an absolute pleasure visiting blackbird. The Staff and Karaoke hosts are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a safe space for people to have fun, highly recommended!

Blackbird Thursdays are a treasure and I've been coming to the karaoke nights every night for over a year now and can't recommend it enough. I've brought at least 10 other people with me who have all fallen in love with it as much as I had who also come every single Thursday now. The bartenders are adorable and some of the most pleasant in any bar I've been to, popcorn is free, and Thursday nights host the most fun open mic karaoke nights. Literally anything goes from ABBA to Slipknot to Frank Sinatra to Linkin Park to Elvis to Pierce the Veil, and there's even theme nights every month like Halloween. There's a lot of regulars you'll see, that feel like my second family, who also cheer loudly for people who haven't sung before and encouraging everyone to have a go. If you're shy about singing it'll go away so fast. I went from nervous voice cracks to screaming my lungs out every week. Very queer & neurodivergent friendly with plenty of dedicated regulars every week who make it a safe space to be expressive, will chat to you and make sure everyone feels like a star. You even get free drinks for singing. The host has always been super lovely and fun, accommodates so many requests, keeps the order fair, cracks jokes, has a radiant personality and takes care of us all night, even does drag shows. You can always see them hyping everyone up from the booth, hell they've even given me chicken nuggets on stage. I've brought so many friends here and they all have a great time and join in coming every week. An absolute gem in Canberra.

Delicious Cocktails, amazing atmosphere and awesome staff. The price of drinks is more than fair with deals available nightly on cocktails and shooters. The staff are happy to serve and work hard to keep the drinks flowing and the whole area clean of finished/empty glasses. Music and DJs are good and play an amazing assortment of music. It is also Queer/LGBTQIA+ friendly! If you want an intimate venue for your friends or that special someone this place should be on your list to visit.
